A few Backyard Birds

A little after 2pm on October 12, 2009, I noticed a robin drinking at the water treatment (I call it the pond) in my backyard. Living out in the desert, robins are not a usual visitor; my first yard American Robin was seen just two weeks before. When I did a double take, I saw that the robin was a Rufous-backed Robin. I was able to obtain several images of the robin (through window glass) for documentation. When at home, I spent the next two days watching the pond; below is what I saw (not including a Ruddy Ground-Dove that escaped image capture).
